2015 Mullet Run Pictures
It's that time. I was holding my fishing rod in one hand and my camera in the other. It's always cool to see Snook blowing up on bait, but it was amazing to see 40+" Redfish flying out of the water.
I even caught a nice Snook.

Cobia and a Bonus 8/08/15
We went out Cobia fishing and got some nice fish, but no huge ones.
Cobia at the boat.
I just got a Water Wolf camera and it captured a picture of a big Cobia that circled my bait for about a minute, but never ate it. There will be lots of pictures and videos to come with this little camera.
When the Cobia are close to that 33" mark, you're better off with the net than sticking it with the gaff. This one went for 33.5".
Luke with his fingers crossed. Hoping for a nice Cobia and not a shark.
On the way in we did a couple drifts in the inlet and it payed off.
This nice red thumped a Croaker on the first drift.

Night Time Muttons 8/6/15
We left the Inlet around 7:30 PM to go do some night time Snapper fishing. I'm new to this type of fishing and it quickly moved towards the top of my list of favorite types of fishing. We anchored up not long after the sun went down. It didn't take long before we started hooking up on fish. The bite was good all night, and while all five of us caught nice fish, Matt's Mutton put even the second biggest one (which was still a nice fish) to shame. We fished for a few hours and then had a smooth ride back into the inlet.
18 Muttons and 6 Mangroves.
Sport your braid.
It'ill eat.

Diving and Fishing Report 7/04/15 and 7/05/15
It's summer and the water is cold. The up-welling hit a bit early this year, so the water is cooooold.
I dove out of the little boat on Saturday we shot two small Permit, a small Cuda, and a nice sized Spanish Mackerel to stock up the fridge. During the dive an Eagle Ray swam by so I swam down about 35' to film it. As I start my ascend I look around and see a slob Kingfish (50 - 60lbs). I followed it for a few feet, but just couldn't get close enough to it.
Sunday we went out on the big boat with my dad, brother, Ellie (my brothers girlfriend). We headed north and found some Cobia. We caught three nice fish and a couple of shorts that we let go.
